What happens?

Most coaching happens at the surface of a client's thinking. Pathways goes deeper.

This immersive program is a deep dive into the science and practice of working with what cognitive researchers call the adaptive unconscious — the vast, largely invisible layer of processing that shapes everything a client thinks, feels, decides, and does. Modern cognitive science suggests this constitutes around 95% of our total cognitive activity.
 
This means most coaching is only working with the 5%. Pathways changes that.
Through a rich blend of experiential practice and conceptual grounding, participants develop skill in some of the most sophisticated and effective approaches available to the developmental coach:

  • Coaching with narrative, story, myth, and metaphor
  • Developing effective relational containers for deep work
  • Visualization and image-based approaches to inner work
  • Embodiment in coaching, including a trauma-sensitive somatic approach
  • The science of multiplicity — coaching with parts and selves
  • Archetypes as a coaching framework
  • Adult development theory and working with the evolving, constructed self
