InterActualizer Summer 2021 Newsletter

The spring haze.
The scent already in the air.
The moon and plum.

—Basho

While the northern hemisphere now bakes in its extraordinary summer, certainly here in the USA, there's also been quite a lot happening for us at InterActualizer. It's clearly only our first full year as an organization and only the second year of the Emergent Coach Training program so we've had a lot to manage both with infrastructure and also as we iterate and develop the current programs. The new learning platform alone has been quite a learning curve for us and we're also still working to optimize it for all of us plus working with LearnWorlds to improve it in ways which will serve us all better.  A key one is the community pages which we're grateful to have in-platform and not to have to rely on Facebook, yet these also need more functionality and we're working on all of this with LearnWorlds as we go forward to improve the experience.

Some other areas we wanted to update you on are:

EMPOWERMENT RETREAT 2021

As the US seems to be on some kind of a path to having a pretty fair percentage of the population vaccinated by late summer, the Labor Day in-person Empowerment Retreat at Elohee on Sept 3-7 is moving ahead. We will aim to keep this event COVID safe by limiting attendance, asking that attendees are either vaccinated or can show a current PCR test result plus there will be other measures in place depending upon where we all are with the virus by that point. A lot  of the activities happen outside which helps keep it safer!

As you know we are also running a virtual offer on the following weekend (Sept. 10-13) for those on the full Emergent program who can't make the in-person yet wish to certify and I know a number of you have let us know which of these you'll attend.

Some of you have already received access to the booking form for accommodation and if you haven't booked yet then please do so ASAP. If you'd like to join us then please reach out directly on learning@interactualizer.com  Any previous attendees can attend at 50% of the tuition cost plus all the regular accommodation fees.

We have a live Empowerment Retreat webinar on August 2nd at noon eastern and please go here if you'd like to come along and we'd really appreciate it if you'd help spread word of that around your community.

HELP US GROW

As you're aware we're a small but deeply committed organization and there are ways you can help support our mission. One you're already doing as simply by training with us you're helping us to sustain, grow and reach others. Another can be to offer us feedback when we request it. Having this helps us to optimize our trainings as we develop. Also offering testimonials helps us to be able to communicate the benefits of our offers to others who are interested in the unique nature of the work we do. Finally, if you're inspired and able to, please help us spread the message. Do tell your community about us, the nature of our work and also the breadth and impact of our programs.

We also have a Free Trial program for the Emergent Coach Training which is designed to give potential participants a taster of some of the content and breadth of the program and we'd naturally love it if you were to recommend that to your networks.

Finally we have Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin pages which again we'd greatly appreciate it if you could join and help share. We'd love to connect with you there, follow you back plus share your stories on our pages.

One interesting new project is a monthly, hour-long radio show airing on NPR (National Public Radio) in the US hosted and produced by me (Rod) and also available to listen again on Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Google Play. The show explores all facets of change and transformation though conversations with everyone from everyday folk across the globe through to academics, scientists, writers and other thought leaders.

We'd love your support and ideas and you can hear the current program including all previous episodes by going here to the site plus you can also leave your suggestions for shows etc. there as well. Over the next couple of months we're going to be looking for some intern support for the show so if you know of someone who is keen to support and learn about radio production, who has great communication skills, is interested in writing and all areas of production, and a bonus would be if they have some audio recording and editing skill, then get them to write to us on hello@the story of change.net OR simply use the learning@interactualizer.com address.

NEW PROGRAMS

We're planning on running a winter masterclass series of 1.5 hour classes every two weeks from October to the end of year. This will be made available at a greatly reduced rate to all our learning community plus open to those outside at a regular fee. Current teachers will be Rod & Charlotte plus guests and we'll be letting you all know about that shortly.

We also have a 5-week intensive immersive basic coach training program in planning which will give untrained participants sufficient coaching skills to be able to enter the Emergent Coach Training program or simply to gain some key basic coaching skills and earn units towards ACC credentialing. It will be likely to kick off in January 2022 and we'll keep you informed of that in case you have connections in your networks who would like to quickly upgrade their skillset and train as a coach plus have an immersive experience of our approach.

A RESOURCE

I like to leave you with an additional learning resource in these newsletters and my suggestion is a wonderful read (I'm just completing it myself!) titled Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. It's an extraordinary journey through the history of humans focusing very much on the cognitive revolution—the period during which that remarkable 6lbs of jello between your ears put on some serious size and took all our ancestors from chewing leaves to flying to Mars.

That's all for now and catch you when I do.
